How to Setup the Computer for Remote Access

1. Click here to open the Computers page.
2. Once on the Computers page, click on the "Add Computer" link.
3. Enter a name for the computer that you want to access remotely. Optionally, you can also add description for that computer.
4. Press "Add Computer" button.
5. Once the page loads, you will see the identification information for this computer. Note down the Computer ID - you will have to enter it in the installation software.

Step 2:

1. Click here and when the download dialog-box opens - Select "Save" option to download the Host software.
   Note: Host software only needs to be installed on the Computer that you want to access remotely.
2. Run the setup program.
3. On the main screen you will see two fields. Enter your Username in the first field and Computer ID (that was created in Step 1) in the second field.
4. Press "Install" button. The setup will take about 10-15 seconds to install the necessary software on your PC.
5. That's it! Your PC can now be accessed from anywhere in the world!

 
If you have multiple PCs and if your MyGreenPC account allows multiple PCs, just repeat Steps 1 & 2 to setup those PCs for remote access as well.

  
 

How to Access the Computer Remotely After Setup

To access the PCs that you setup for remote access, you need the Client software -  Click here to download the client software. Client software is a very small executable, you can either download it on-the-go, save it on your desktop, or copy it to a usb stick and keep it with you all the time.

The Client software requires No installation, just run it and enter your MyGreenPC username/password in the logon screen and press "Connect". After successfull login, you will see a new window with your PCs listed in it. Simply double-click the PC you want to connect with and enjoy a secure remote access session!
